小さいながらも、本格的な日本の石灯籠
石灯籠のサイズは、高さ28�僉�4パーツに分かれていて、宝珠・笠・火袋・脚のパーツを組み立てて使います。火袋の部分には、丸と月のかたちをした窓が彫られています。小さくても、古典的な石灯籠のデザインをそのままに生かした、お庭にもインテリアにもお使いいただける灯篭です。
島根県産凝灰質砂岩、来待石を使用
素材は、島根県産の来待石。灯篭や石仏の彫刻にも多様されている、国産の凝灰質砂岩です。釉薬の原料や、国指定の伝統的工芸品である「出雲石灯篭」の石材として知られています。古くは、古墳時代に石棺や石室の建築に使われたり、鎌倉時代からは石仏や彫刻に使われたりした、歴史ある石です。
来待石は、時間の経過に伴って、表情が変化するのが魅力です。石を切り出した時は、青みを帯びた色をしていますが、次第に水分が抜け、茶褐色の、やわらかな色に変化します。新しい商品でも古色が感じられ、苔が付きやすく、自然のある空間にきれいに溶け込みます。

ミニ灯篭は、一つ一つが全て手作り。島根県の石工が、手彫りで彫刻を施しています。手作りならではの温かさ、やさしさを感じられます。

Bring the warmth of hand-carved stone sculptures into your daily life. Crafted with meticulous care by a stonemason in Izumo City, using locally sourced Kimachi stone from Shimane Prefecture. These small lanterns, with a standard design, can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Authentic Japanese Stone Lanterns in a Compact Size
The stone lantern is 28cm tall. It is made up of four parts: the jewel, the shade, the fire box, and the legs. The fire box has a circular and moon-shaped window carved into it. Although it is small, it retains the classic stone lantern design and can be used in gardens or as interior décor.
Using Kimachi Stone from Shimane Prefecture
The material used is Kimachi stone, produced in Shimane Prefecture. Known as the material for glazes and designated as a traditional craft product, "Izumo Stone Lantern," it has been used in the construction of stone coffins and chambers since the Kofun period in Japan. Kimachi stone, with its changing expressions over time, starts with a bluish color when quarried, gradually loses moisture, and transforms into a soft, brownish color. Even if the item is quite new, it looks like an antique. It gets moss easily.
Warm Hand-Carving by Stonemasons in Shimane
Each mini lantern is entirely handmade by stonemasons in Shimane Prefecture. The hand-carving adds a unique warmth and gentleness to each piece.
