三重県・七里御浜海岸の「みはま小石」を使用した、関守石（せきもりいし）。
関守石は、庭園や茶道に受け継がれてきた、境界を示す“しるし”の石です。
道の分かれ目などに据え、「これより先はご遠慮ください」と静かに伝える役割を担ってきました。
空間の調和を乱すことなく、見る人にそっと意図を伝える。その佇まいには、日本ならではの美意識と繊細な心遣いが宿ります。



棕櫚縄（しゅろなわ）は職人により手作業で丁寧に結ばれています。
自然の石と銀の縄が織りなす異素材の組み合わせが、空間に上質なアクセントを添えてくれます。

太平洋の荒波にもまれた、みはま小石

みまま小石は、三重県熊野市から鵜殿村に広がる七里御浜海岸で採取されます。黒那智石・白那智石・色石の3種類に分かれており、その中でも、ひとつひとつ異なる形や色、模様を楽しめる色石を使用しています。七里御浜海岸では一般の方による石の採取や重機等の使用は禁止されており、許可を得た人だけが手で拾って採取されます。長い年月をかけて海の荒波にもまれることで、角が取れ、丸みを帯びた形に仕上がります。自然の力によって生まれた唯一無二の模様と、なめらかな質感をお楽しみください。

A stone of "sign" embodying Japanese aesthetics

Sekimori-ishi is made from "Mihama pebbles" from Shichiri Mihama Beach in Mie Prefecture.
Sekimori-ishi is a small stone with a quiet presence, long used in Japanese gardens and tea ceremony culture to mark subtle boundaries.
Placed at a path’s fork or entrance, it gently says, “Please refrain from entering,” without a single word.
Its unobtrusive form conveys intent without disturbing the harmony of the space, and it an embodies Japanese sensitivity and aesthetic.

The palm ropes are carefully tied by hand by artisans.
The combination of natural stone and silver rope creates a sophisticated accent in the space.

Mihama Pebbles, Forged by the Rough Waves of the Pacific Ocean

Mimama pebbles are collected from the Shichiri Mihama coast, which stretches from Kumano City to Udono Village in Mie Prefecture. They are divided into three types: black Nachi stone, white Nachi stone, and colored stone. Among these, we use colored stone, which allows you to enjoy the unique shapes, colors, and patterns of each individual stone. Collecting stones or using heavy machinery is prohibited for the general public on the Shichiri Mihama coast; only those with permission are allowed to collect them by hand. Over many years, they are tossed about by the rough waves of the sea, and their edges are smoothed, resulting in a rounded shape. You can enjoy the unique patterns and smooth texture created by the power of nature.
