製作を手掛けたのは、京都の京北町で石彫刻を専門としている石工。大型の石仏や、龍の石像などを多く製作している、仏像の彫刻に長けた石工です。自然な風合いを残しつつ、仏様の表情をしっかりと彫刻した、特別な作品です。
