Aizen Myouou, who brings blessings to love, marriage, childbirth, and family harmony. Using the representative Ibaraki stone, known as domestically produced granite, craftsmen have hand-carved it in the traditional way. Retaining the rough texture of the stone, it is an ISHIMO original stone Buddha that blends well with Japanese-style spaces.

Blessings for Love Fulfillment, Marriage, Childbirth, and Family Harmony: Aizen Myouou

Aizen Myouou is a deity who governs affection and desire. He possesses the power to transform human instincts such as worldly desires and lust, into faith towards the Buddha or enlightenment. Additionally, he is known as a deity who brings blessings to aspects such as love fulfillment, marriage, childbirth, and family harmony.

Using Makabe Stone, Domestically Produced Mikage Stone

Mikage stone is a granite mined in the Makabe area of Sakuragawa City, Ibaraki Prefecture. It is a stone material used even in the Akasaka Palace and is known as a representative of domestically produced granite, primarily in the Kanto area, Japan. One of the characteristics of Makabe stone is its minimal discoloration over the years. Although it has a moderate water absorption rate, it has good drainage, allowing you to enjoy its beautiful stone grain for many years. While it doesn't remain completely unchanged, its dignified appearance increases over time, and its charm deepens with use, which is also the appeal of Mikage stone.

An Exquisite Hand-Carved Piece by Traditional Craftsmen

The carving was done by traditional craftsmen active in Ibaraki Prefecture. Local artisans skilled in carving stone Buddhas and stone lanterns meticulously finished each piece by hand. Makabe stone is said to best reveal its natural charm through processes such as cobbling, bichan, and small pounding, rather than polishing. These carvings also feature delicate bishan, giving them a natural stone-like finish that harmonizes well with Japanese-style gardens.
