Company History
The Yoshimura Sstone Company was originally founded under the Ishimo name
over 270 years ago by a craftsman named Mouemon Yoshimura on the eastern
hillsides of Kyoto in 1830. The Ishimo name, meaning stone shop of Mouemon,
was changed to Yoshimura Stone Company in 1969 by the former owner.
Throughout the Edo, Meiji, Taisho, Showa and the present Heisei Periods the traditional style and excellence of the Kyoto stone crafting for Shinto shines, Buddhist temples and town monuments have been passed down through family line. The present day Yoshimura Stone Company continues to expand its stone service, especially in the design and construction of public engineering works, buildings, houses and gardens.
The company is also honored to serve the Imperial Household.
We continually strive to provide the best service and satisfaction for

of creating quality Kyoto stoneworks. |

shipping charges. These charges are the customer's responsibility.
We useally ship within 1-3 business days of receiving cleared payment.(Monday
to Friday)

Our shop is located on Horikawa street and just five minutes walk from
Nijyo Castle.Kyoto.
We open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Sunday except national holidays.
